Over the coming weeks, streaming giant Spotify has announced it will begin implementing a new "Spotify Family" offer, which would relieve Premium Subscription payments for a subscriber's relatives and friends.

Within the new plan, Premium Subscribers can now split costs to those who op in with up to four relatives or friends. A single-user rate for Premium costs £9.99 per month ($9.99 for U.S.), but when split among two users the rate only goes to $14.99. For each added user, the fee is only $4.99 rather than the original $9.99. However, Spotify Family will only allow a maximum of five participants, which totals $29.99.

Spotify's Premium subscription allows the user to play any music without ads through their phone, tablet, computer, and/or television. User's can also download and listen to music while they aren't online for easier access. Full information for U.S. participants can be found here.

Spotify Chief Content Officer Ken Parks notes, "This is one of the most asked for features from our audience. With today's announcement we're making it easier than ever for the whole family to experience Spotify Premium on their phones, at home and on the go."
