So, it's a given that John Carpenter's Halloween is without fail an epic All-Hallow's Eve film... one of my favourites within the horror-flick genre. But this year, my Halloween movie pick for 2-0-0-8 is Tim Burton's Oscar winning movie, Beetlejuice. I'm sure (or at least I hope) many of you have seen it: a deceased married couple pretty much tries to scare off a yuppie family, the Deetzs, who just bought their house, etc. There's no blood, not scary, it's pretty much all laughs, and face it...It's become a classic. Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O'Hara, Winona Ryder are cool, but no one beats Michael Keaton who does a fantastic job playing the eccentric 'bio-exorcist' character, Beetlejuice. And so, apart from the Tim Burton-esque qualities/characters in this movie, two of many odds-on faouvrite scenes are the quirky dance/sing-a-longs to Harry Belafonte...check out them out!
