Label: Quiet Life Release date: 08/11/10 Link: Myspace 'On Repeat' tells the story of everyday monotony absorbed in the same pattern of repetition. This is the second single from Hackney four piece Foreign Office. Tribal drums open to the crash of funky guitar and slick bass lines. The lyrics are sharp, direct, dark and often paranoid and sung over disco infused rhythms. 80’s soul and funk influences make this pop infectious chorus simply stuck stuck stuck on repeat. ‘I need something to break the monotony’ sings vocalist and bassist Paul Cousins giving a catchy hook to the uplifting and melodic track. I am stuck on repeat. Photobucket
