Released: September 19th Genre: Comedy Rating: PG-13 Trailer: Click here The Film - In the comedy "Ghost Town," Bertram Pincus (Ricky Gervais) is a man whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts. Even worse, they all want something from him, particularly Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear), who pesters him into breaking up the impending marriage of his widow Gwen (Téa Leoni). The Verdict - What surprises me most about Ghost Town is that it's actually not a Disney licensed film. I've always been a fan of Ricky Gervais and think he's a great comedian. Here however, Ricky's just really dropped the ball and i think if Ghost Town is anything to go by, he really should be getting the notion that he won't be cracking America any time soon. You'd be better off renting his superb stand up performances showcased in shows such as Politics and Animals and to a lesser extent Fame. Hell, he was even funny for a whole 10 minutes in Night at the Museum to!
