Look it's been a bit of a tough year in socio-political terms - arguably even more so for the LGBTI community in some ways. So when a band of PWR BTTM's ilk come along and provide an articulate, sharp, moving, and at times downright hilarious take on queer matters, it feels... significant. To us at least.

Ben and Liv of queer-punk duo PWR BTTM provided outstanding company what with their acerbic wit in-between tracks on stage (topics covered: Enya, Trump, Thundercats, Shropshire, and many other surrealist observations), every track from their Ugly Cherries album (and even new material towards the end of their set that sounded super promising), and some 10/10 dresses. Honestly, there was so much joy (uh yeah and sweat) and so many wide shit-eating grins on show, and it sounds cliche to say but genuinely there was so much love in that room; and I think we all needed that. Thank you PWR BTTM a lot.
