Label: Brainlove Records Website: www.myspace.com/thekeyboardchoir I originally wrote this review with an extremely long and arduous description of how the Keyboard Choir sound a lot like Oceansize if they lost a guitarist and decided to replace him with Jonny Greenwood but I decided against it. Instead this brief description of my original description should do! The Oceansize comparison comes from the KC's immense rhythm section which backs up the mad scientist approach to distortion and effects that could have only come from the mind of Jonny Greenwoods. The only explanation for this sound that I can think of is that the KC have somehow managed to create a machine which allows them to see inside peoples minds, it really is that insane. The thing I liked about this album the most is just how relentless it is. From 'The Drone of The Hearse' all the way through to 'Electrical Unity' The Keyboard Choir have managed to create an album that which will make you feel like you've just been kidnapped, or taken under your bed à la the Little Monsters movie. If you like electronic based music which isn't afraid to bleed into other, more experimental, styles then get yourself a copy of Mizen Head To Gascanane Sound. You won't be disapointed. Rating: 8/10
