Release Date: 25th August Passion Pit’s latest outing ‘To Kingdom Come’ is another quirky, upbeat and melodic plink a thon from the odd pop wizards who seem unable to make a record that doesn’t make you drift off into their strange and dreamy world. Lead vocalist Michael Angelakos’ passionate yet fragile vocals are layered over whinny synth riffs and relaxing guitars all of which is brought together through some simple yet dynamic drumming patterns and the odd interjection of gritty saxophone. This blissful amalgamation of joyous noise (with just a hint of darkness lyrically speaking) is just what summer was made for but be warned, you will find yourself attempting to hopelessly sing along to its high pitched chorus so try not to listen to it in busy areas.
