The Swedish quintet Those Dancing Days were all about fun in the sun on their first record. Back then the "skies were bigger" and the "clouds like bubbles". This was joy. This was a group a teenage girls singing about how beautiful love and life was.

Fast forward three years and things seem to have taken a slight dip. Love is still the theme, but this time Linnea Jönssons sweet voice has got an edge. The contrast of how she sounds and what she actually says hits you like nothing on In Our Space Hero Suits ever could. Both opener 'Reaching Forward' and standout (and previous free giveaway) 'Fuckairas' show this fantastically. Jönsson actually sounds angry on the latter.

It isn't all anger and (if I'm honest) bunny boiling tendencies though. 'I'll Be Yours' is quite beautiful. It isn't until the very last track that you get the feeling everything is going to be alright in the world of Those Dancing Days' love lives though. 'One Day Forever' features the brilliant Orlando Weeks from the equally brilliant The Maccabees. Herein lies the reason for why they might be all happy again; according to every single woman I have ever come across, he is pretty much the perfect man. Perhaps that's all they wanted all along.

The title of the album may be Daydreams & Nightmares, but really there are a whole lot more nightmares on this record. In a good way. A very good way.
