Released: October 31st 2008 Genre: Comedy Rating: R Trailer: Click here The Film - Lifelong friends and roommates Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) are facing hard times and a mountain of debt. When the electricity and plumbing get cut off, they seize upon the idea of making a homegrown porno movie for some quick cash, enlisting the help of their friends. The two vow that having sex will not ruin their friendship. But as filming begins, what started out as a business proposition between friends turns into something much more. The Verdict - Actor,Writer,Director and Producer Kevin Smith; best known for writing and starring in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back as mute stoner and super hero Silent Bob aka "Blunt Man", is back with "X-Rated" soft core comedy - Zack and Miri make a Porno, with Seth Rogen (Superbad,Knocked Up,Pineapple Express) and Elizabeth Banks (Spiderman, The 40 Yearold Virgin). In Smith's playful hands, amateur porn isn't hot, it's hysterical. Rogen and Banks, both terrific, bring out the sweet and spicy best in each other without the need of any "stunt cock" to finish the impending job. This is a good thing, since we know where these platonic "BFFs" and their relationship is heading from the get-go. Craig Robinson, of The Office, steals every scene he's in as Zack's co-worker-turned-producer of Star Whores, with R2-Teabag, Hung Solo, Darth Vibrator and Miri as Princess Lay-her. A change of location to the coffee shop necessitates a title change to Swallow My Cock-ucinno. You get the point. Yes, you see boobs! Yes, you see pubes! And, yes, you (almost) see Zack and Miri have sex on camera. But that's when Smith turns mushy and tries to spin smut into sugar. That he (almost) does - without the need for any of the industries favorites such as "ATM" or "DP". You might not be rolling around in the isles whilst watching this one, buts Zack and Miri make a Porno at least carries a satisfying amount of comedic arousal to leave you feeling like a curious young teenager all over again! No sexual innuendos were used in this review! None!
