The world has shaken and Paris is burning with a big black hole. Riccardo Tisci, the designer of Givenchy, has left the legendary fashion house after 12 years.

During his tenure at Givenchy, Tisci replaced the pearls, gloves and clean LBDs with shark tooth necklaces, see-through lace dresses and loud graphic t-shirts. Thanks to his gothic romantic magic, it’s no secret that Beyoncé, Rihanna, Courtney Love, Kanye West and Naomi Campbell swear by Tisci as their fairy godfather. Not only has Tisci slayed the runways every season, he also knew how to get the red carpet and the Internet talking, which I have to admit it is quite a rare feat for a high fashion designer.

If you recalled the Met Gala of years past, who could ever forget Kim Kardashian’s Mrs. Doubtfire couch catsuit/dress or Beyoncé’s Becky pimple-popping latex gown? The man responsible for those iconic meme-generating creations was no other than Mr. Tisci himself.

Although he may no longer be at Givenchy, he will be sorely missed.
