Apple's next product event will take place on September 7th.

The date was confirmed via invitations that were sent out this week, simply stating: "see you on the 7th." It will mark the fifth year in a row that Apple has held an early September event to announce a new product line, which usually includes a new iPhone.

This year will be no exception; Apple are expected to unveil the iPhone 7, which should be pretty similar to the previous model with only a few differences on the visual side -- one of which being the absence of the headphone jack. The new model is also expected to be more water resistant (everybody's getting excited about the possibility of taking underwater photos). The Apple Watch is also expected to be upgraded, with rumours referring to the inclusion of a GPS and a camera.

You can watch the event live via Apple's website.
