Periscope, that livestream app you keep hearing about but aren't totally sure what it is, will be featuring a special live event this Friday, June 26th during rapper Raury's own music festival Raurfest.

The festival will be hosted in his hometown of Atlanta, boasting heavy supporting acts like Big K.R.I.T. and Trinidad James. This all comes less than a year after his breakout mixtape Indigo Child began to catch waves, which led to a hefty amount of positive buzz, including a spot on XXL's coveted Freshman Class inclusion for 2015.

In an interview with Mashable, Raury spoke on using Periscope for his event, saying, "I used it once in Atlanta when I accompanied SBTRKT. The sound didn't work for me, but it was still super fun. It's just fun to be in the moment. I feel like it's really innovative."

"Yeah, I'll be living life, pretty much. You'll see how I live," he continues. "At all times, I'm doing awesome shit. Some of the most interesting things can happen when I'm just sitting in my living room, 'cause I have the world's cutest dog. His name is Goddric. He has an Instagram."
