Some of us have spent way too much money on apps over the years. But Apple just made everyone's life a little easier and saved some major coin by making some of its most popular apps free.

GarageBand, iMovie and iWork (Pages, Keynote and Numbers) now cost nothing for any Mac OS and iOS customers. Which is a pretty big deal, considering iMovie and Garageband used to cost around $4.99 for iOS and $14.99 on desktop. And iWork rang up at $9.99 with its desktop counterpart costing $19.99.
