Say goodbye to yet another part of your teenagehood: Apple have announced they'll be discontinuing the iPod Nano and Shuffle, just like they did with the iPod Classic back in 2014. They're keeping the iPod Touch though, as they explain in a statement: "Today, we are simplifying our iPod lineup with two models of iPod touch now with double the capacity starting at just $199 and we are discontinuing the iPod shuffle and iPod nano."

The news comes as no surprise, since the iPod Nano hasn't been redesigned since 2012, and the Shuffle since 2010.; they were given new colours back in 2015 though, but with the rise of streaming services and smartphones, the simple fact of having a separate device for your music alone seems to be less and less of a priority for most people.
