The entire experience of watching sports at home has changed forever. It's also gotten a lot more expensive. The NBA has teamed up with NextVR to start steaming games in virtual reality as one game per week will be live-streamed to GearVR headsets.

As awesome as that sounds, the catch is that viewers will need a $200 yearly subscription to NBA League Pass, which is a streaming service that allows on-demand games to be viewed on smartphones/tablets/etc. Then, they'll be able to watch games in an 180-degree field of view, although they're working on 360-degree content in the future.

You can try it out for free, without a League Pass, on October 27 during the game between the Spurs and Kings. All you'll need to purchase is the headset itself.
