We've all used Shazam at least once to identify an obscure song, but a talk given by the company's VP of product Cait O’Riordan may change the way we look at the app forever. O'Riordan stated that Shazam can predict "with relative accuracy" which song will top the Billboard charts, a full 33 days in advance.

This is in part down to Shazam's massive user base (the app is used 20 millions times a day), which allows the company to forecast trends and predict which songs are on their way to becoming a hit. Watch O'Riordan's talk below for further information:
