Digital album release dates are one thing and physical release dates seem to follow nowadays. And it's not because physical music is a dying medium anymore - people still purchase CDs and vinyl. It's because it takes so damn long to press vinyl due to a lengthy production process that is literally decades old.

In order to keep up with the immediate times and the vinyl revival, Virl Technologies are working on a way to update their pressing machine systems to speed up the process and bring it into the current era They're calling the new machine WarmTone.

Basically, modern engineering has provided the upgrade, which makes it easier to produce the pucks that eventually become the records. There is currently one of these bad-boy machines operating in Dallas, with another coming to Toronto's Microforum next month. Watch WarmTone work below.
