Common has released a video for 'Kingdom', which is set to appear on his forthcoming 10th album, Nobody's Smiling.

The eight-minute clip stays true to the album's Chicago-based concept, by documenting life on the streets of the rapper's hometown. The track itself features Vince Staples and showcases Common at his lyrical best.

In a recent interview with Revolt, Common explained the idea behind the album. "We came up with this concept Nobody's Smiling [and it] was really a thought that came about because of all the violence that was going on in Chicago," he said.

The album, produced by No I.D, is released on July 22nd. Watch the Hype Williams-directed video above.
