This Saturday, May 31st, HBO will air this year's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Ceremony, which took place last month in Brooklyn. To set the mood and raise anticipation, HBO has shared a snippet of St. Vincent performing 'Lithium' with the surviving members of Nirvana.

Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear of The Germs and Foo Fighters, who joined Nirvana on second guitar in 1993, were also joined by female powerhouses like Joan Jett, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and Lorde.

While the reception of all of the performers was expectedly mixed, ranging from typical brainless misogyny to celebratory, most agreed that Annie Clark's performance with the band was the highlight of the evening. Her nappy blonde head and explosive stoicism were a natural fit, perfectly delivering the religious daze of medication and apathy. It is clear the band were having a blast, with Dave Grohl bashing along and mouthing the lyrics and Pat Smear blazing into the crunchy rhythms. Everybody taking pleasure in playing these songs that we all miss and know and love.

While no one will ever be able to fill these particular Doc Martens, each of these 4 women gave their all, coming out to share their love and respect for a great man, a great band, and great music. Here's the clip, and tune in to HBO tomorrow, to watch in its entirety!
